I use a standard windows account for day to day activities as nothing should need admin rights just to run. Most programs trigger the admin password prompt when needed so I can decide if I want to grant them temporary admin rights. The Daedalus install doesn’t prompt, it just fails whilst trying to write to the program files folder. I can install if I ‘run as admin’ but then all the shortcuts are placed in the admin profile.
Could the installation program be updated to prompt for admin rights and also offer a choice of installation folder? Ideally choosing where the blockchain, program files and private keys are stored in an advanced mode.
