Ambassador Stories, Journal #34: Daniel David Lezu & Giannis Mitsios
Welcome to the 34th journal of the “Ambassador Stories” series! 
New stories will be shared with you, whenever new ambassadors join our ranks and provide their stories.

Part 1: Daniel, Meetup Organizer:
Daniel has recently joined the Ambassador ranks as a Meetup Organizer.
1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?
Daniel is currently the President for FinTech and Blockchain Society, University of Aberdeen. Front end web developer by profession. He holds Bachelors of Science in Information Technology and currently pursuing Masters degree in Cyber Security.
He is passionate about Cloud computing, Cyber Security, Web 3 and Decentralized Applications. He is the web manager for Wada.org (an organization whose aim is to equip local developers and entrepreneurs to build decentralized applications and businesses of the future), He is the Co-host at the Catalyst Africa School.
Community Manager at the Catalyst Africa Town Hall. Projects Manager for Cardano Peer Education (A Project Catalyst funded project to educate students about blockchain and how to guide students and to bring their innovative ideas to be funded on Idea-scale.
He was a Community Advisor in Catalyst fund 7 and Catalyst Challenge Team Lead for ‘Scale-UP Cardano’s Community Hubs’ challenge settings for fund 8. Daniel envisioned using Blockchain Technology to bridge the gap between human capabilities and machine learning (AI & IoT) in developing countries.
2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?
The trust that is formed on blockchains, which improve security, better transparency, and rapid traceability, brought my attention in the technology and this was made possible by Wada formerly known as Wada Alliance.
3) Why Cardano?
Beyond issues of trust, the Cardano blockchain offers further business advantages, such as cost reductions from accelerated speed, efficiency, and automation as well as its African-focused vision. To connect the disconnected and bank the unbanked.
4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?
The formation of the Catalyst Africa Town Hall and the Catalyst Africa School have been one of my contributions to the Ecosystem as well as an advocacy programs. Educating Students and Schools about the Cardano Blockchain Technology as well as the Project Catalyst and hosting meet-up events.
5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?
I believe in the Vision of Cardano and I know it will transform not only the Financial sectors but also the Educational and the Health sectors especially in the developing countries and this is a collective efforts for me to establish a DAO, Educational centres for learning dApp programming, and to continue the advocacy programs for now and the future.
6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?
Nothing good comes on a silver plater therefore let’s continue building on the Network, Let’s continue to promote the Cardano Technology. Let’s create more grassroots initiatives and Let’s be focused and all will make sense some day.

Part 2: Giannis, Content Creator
Giannis has recently joined the Ambassador ranks as a Content Creator.
1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?
I ve been always interested in sales and for as long as I remember myself I was trying to find customers for some product or service of some kind. In retail stores, door to door, you name it, from my 20s, till now that I’m 42.
2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?
At the same time I was always interested in new technologies and my hobby was reading and exploring new and exciting staff. After I had some coding lessons (Python, SwiftUI), I got to appreciate the whole idea behind crypto. But even so, I couldn’t find a project which had the whole package. BTC was slow and with a toxic community, ETH seemed confused, lots and lots of Ponzi schemes etc. So nothing attracted my attention for the first years. I am a practical person and I trust my instinct, everything seemed a mess. So I didn’t got involved.
3) Why Cardano?
And then it happened. In 2020 I randomly watched Charle’s whiteboard presentation. And suddenly everything started making sense. I watched it again and again. Since I was “from the future”, I realized that most of what he was describing is already working and the rest is on track. After that, the more I read about Cardano, the more I loved it.
I don’t know how to explain it, it just suits my way of thinking, interacting and delivering. We were built for each other!
4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?
I am about to officially start tomorrow, but until now, I am an active member of the Greek Cardano Community, responding to questions in discord and twitter. I also respond to unfair criticism but always with facts and in a professional way.
I recently started a YouTube channel in Greek and I am very proud of my 260 subscribers in just 2 months. It seems that I am relatively good at explaining complex ideas with practical examples and people love it! I have uploaded 12 videos of more than 1 hour of scripted and edited content, about how Cardano started, wallets, nfts, Metaverses, stake pools, stable coins and some projects like WM and AGIX.
I am very satisfied with the result because I always focus on the tools that our blockchain provides us and I try to inspire people to actually use it instead of just witnessing the change that is coming. My videos are also future proof. Even if someone watches them after 1 year, they could still gather useful info.
To be honest, the Cardano Ambassador appointment happened a bit fast and sudden (I guess this is how this industry works) and I haven’t really thoroughly thought about my next steps. One idea is to make another Cardano series, shorter videos focusing on the daily news & rumors which is something we don’t have in Greece right now. Or I could start a Cardano Newsroom blog. Or both. Eventually I will just do whatever feels more natural to my “skills”. We’ll see…
5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?
No idea. Cardano is a living organism in some sense and if its governance tools work properly, it will evolve on its own and no one knows which direction it will follow. The only thing we can do as community members is to protect it and scale it.
6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?
We have a huge opportunity to change the world! Please don’t waste it.
