Part 1: Eric, Meetup Organizer:

Jeremiah has recently joined the Ambassador ranks as a Meetup Organizer.

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?

“Jeremiah Baani is my name from Ghana. I studied Information Technology at the university. I am a college tutor at the Nursing and Midwifery College in Nalerigu, located in the North East region of Ghana. I am a determined young man with the ability to work independently or with a team. I am friendly and easy going.

I also embark on philanthropical projects in my own little way to put smiles on the faces of people in deprived communities in areas of free medical care and items donations such as food, clothes, shoes etc. I am the founder of a small IT organization known as Center for Technology Education and Innovation lab-Cteil. We are into IT training and education and also into Blockchain education as well.”

2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?

“My interest was awaken in this new technological paradigm in the year 2016. Prior to my active engagement and study around crypto, we were given a project work by one of our lecturers in the university to research about Litecoin that was in the year 2015.

As the leader of my group I did extensive research around this project and summitted the project to my lecturer on the due date without even really knowing so much about Litecoin and cryptos in general.

It was until October 2016 I met a friend of mine who discussed with me a project he was working with to educate Africa on the Dash crypto. This ignited the zeal in me to start thorough study around blockchain and cryptos once again. And since then I have been consistent with crypto projects and still learning and contributing in my little way till now.”

3) Why Cardano?

“I have researched around many crypto projects, their use cases and consensus mechanisms and how they were built and run but have realized that cardano is unique and superior in its own way.

A third gen decentralized blockchain that covers areas of education, healthcare, identity, governance, funding programs just to mention a few. Another great reason why I like this project is the approach that was used to build it thus through peer reviewed research which I believe places cardano on a high scale beyond its competitors.

Its proprietary proof of stake mechanism thus the ouroboros is also game changing. The environmentally friendly nature of cardano is something worth mentioning. I could mention more and more but with the little reasons I have outlined, I believe these are some ingredients that keeps me so attached to the cardano ecosystem.

Even though I have been heart broken several times thus not getting any of my proposals funded yet for three consecutive times I still believe cardano is key when looking at blockchain in the long run. Finally, one key thing that makes me so much interested in the cardano blockchain is the priority it has for the African continent as frequently said by the founder Charles Hoskinson.

I believe this is a great project and part of my top projects which I am excited to be attached to and contribute to it in my own way.”

4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?

“I serve as Blockchain and Crypto educator, I have hosted and co-facilitated up to 6 local physical meetup events with the support of wada, thus exposing my audience to the Cardano blockchain and the opportunities that are available for us all to participate either as proposers, PAs, VPAs, developers etc.

I also hosted the 2022 Cardano Summit in Tamale recording around a total participation of about 217 attendees. I also organize online meetup events exposing a wider audience to the fundamentals of blockchain technology and digital currencies.

I have trained closely up to 20 active incentivized Proposal Assessors through my online events of which some have become Veteran Proposal Assessors. Through my education tours, I have been able to reach close to 500 youth about the cardano blockchain in Ghana and how they can participate.”

5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?

“I believe cardano will play a key role in bringing onboard nations and institutions onto the blockchain world. Seeing the measures that are currently being put in place and the commitment of the community, I believe cardano will be a game changer in transforming the world of blockchain.

Even though the project is not so old as compared to other blockchain projects. What the cardano ecosystem is doing is mind blowing, encouraging and gives us hope that the future is really bright for the African continent and the world at large with this great project.”

6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?

“Cardano is a great project and I am happy to be part of this bigger family. Keep up the good work, never loose focus and ignore the trolls that comes from competitors. Keep working and I know in due time the entire world will hear about the impact of the Cardano blockchain in every sector of the both local and global economy.”

Part 2: Patryk, Content Creator

Patryk has recently joined the Ambassador ranks as a Content Creator.

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?

"Greetings, my name is Patryk. I was born in Rome, Italy and spent a majority of my life there. I completed my high school education with a focus on Information Technology and then relocated to London, United Kingdom to pursue a degree in Computer Science.

During this period, I faced significant challenges as I had to work to support myself while attending university. This struggle, along with some doubts regarding my academic choices, led me to withdraw from my studies and embark on a personal development journey.

I began studying nutrition, philosophy and psychology, and implementing psycho-technologies such as meditation and dialogos into my personal development routine.

As my comprehension of the world grew, I became aware of both the positive aspects of personal growth and the numerous challenges that our world faces, including issues of inequality, animal cruelty in factory farms, water depletion, deforestation, species extinction, and ocean dead zones.

In light of this newfound knowledge, I have become motivated to find ways to make a positive impact and contribute to solving these pressing global issues."

2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?

"As I embarked on a quest to make the world a better place, I stumbled upon the fascinating world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. My initial motivation was to attain financial independence, so I could allocate more time and resources to addressing global challenges. But the deeper I delved into the world of blockchain, the more I became captivated by its potential to solve many of the world’s most pressing issues.

In 2017, during the highly publicized bull run, I threw myself into extensive research of the topic. I even took a chance and invested, watching with excitement as my funds multiplied. It was a wild ride.

Despite the eventual bear market and pop of the bubble, I remained steadfast in my commitment to the industry, even securing a job as a translator for The Cryptonomist. This allowed me to stay abreast of the latest developments while earning a living.

Today, I continue to work as a freelance translator, but I have also ventured into creating content related to Cardano. My passion for blockchain and its potential to positively impact the world continues to drive me forward."

3) Why Cardano?

“Like many, I watched Charles Hoskinson’s TED Talk and was thoroughly impressed by his visionary ideas. The whiteboard video and talk at LSE University further reinforced my positive assessment of Charles and Cardano.

Despite having a background in information technology and networks, as well as a basic understanding of cryptography and game theory, I am unable to comprehend the full intricacies of the technology and protocols. However, my understanding of the scientific method enables me to appreciate Cardano’s scientifically grounded approach.

The adherence to a scientific method and the publication of peer-reviewed papers are, in my opinion, the defining factors that make Cardano the most suitable candidate for creating a global decentralized financial operating system.

I am confident that this scientifically driven approach will attract a broad audience. The past has taught us the dangers of relying on a small group of developers with a ““move fast and break things”” mentality. When billions of dollars and digital identities, medical records, and other sensitive information are at stake, caution is of the utmost importance.

This is why I firmly believe in Cardano."

4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?

"With the aim of deepening my understanding of Cardano and potentially launching my own stake pool in the future, I initiated a series of written interviews with Stake Pool Operators (SPOs).

These interviews have provided a platform for SPOs to share their stories and visions, serving as a valuable means of exchanging knowledge and connecting with the Cardano Community. My interactions with the community have been overwhelmingly positive.

I have also been conducting interviews with NFT projects, which has been an exciting journey given the broad range of applications for this technology.

I translate all of my interviews into Italian and publish them on The Cryptonomist. As a newly appointed Cardano Ambassador, I am eager to expand my reach by interviewing DeFi projects and making my content accessible to a wider audience by translating it into Polish."

5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?

"The classic story of the hare and the tortoise teaches us that slow and steady wins the race. Cardano’s methodical approach may seem slow at first, but in the fast-paced world of blockchain, it’s a welcome change. With speed causing issues in other ecosystems, Cardano’s measured pace sets it apart.

Blockchain technology should be seamless, like a secret superpower that is always working behind the scenes. Similar to how most people don’t understand the inner workings of the internet or smartphones, but use them daily to make their lives easier.

Where I live, banking is still accessible and the currency is stable, but there are billions who don’t have access to these basic financial services or even the internet. That’s where projects like Cardano and World Mobile come in, working to create a more equal and accessible world for all."

6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?

"I would like to extend my gratitude to all the individuals I had the opportunity to engage with over the past two years. It has been a privilege to exchange messages and gain insights into the members of the Cardano Community.

For those seeking to contribute to Cardano, I suggest exploring your unique abilities and strengths. Each of us possesses different skills that contribute to the diversity of our ecosystem.

As a newly appointed Cardano Ambassador, I am committed to elevating the level of my interviews and continuing to share the perspectives and visions of builders, SPOs, developers, artists, and other key members of the community.

I look forward to seeing you all in the next #NicePoll."
