Andi Schmitt, Ambassador:
Andi has recently joined the ranks of Cardano Ambassadors. Andi is known for making complex blockchain concepts easy to understand through educational content and community engagement. As a Cardano Ambassador, DRep, and Midnight Nightforce Leader for the DACH region, he is passionate about fostering informed participation and helping others navigate the evolving Web3 ecosystem.

- Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?
I am a content creator, educator, and community builder from Germany with a strong focus on blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and the societal impact of emerging technologies. Over the past years, I have worked on making complex topics more understandable and accessible through educational content, storytelling, and community-driven initiatives.
- How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?
My interest in blockchain started through Bitcoin and the broader idea of decentralization, financial sovereignty, and transparent systems. The more I learned, the more I realized that blockchain technology is about much more than speculation — it is about ownership, coordination, privacy, and the future structure of digital society.
Over time, this curiosity evolved into active participation through content creation, governance, community building, and educational work within the ecosystem.
- Why Cardano?
What attracted me most to Cardano is its long-term thinking and research-driven approach. While many ecosystems focus primarily on short-term hype and rapid growth, Cardano has consistently prioritized sustainability, formal methods, governance, and education.
I strongly resonate with the idea of building infrastructure that is robust, scalable, and designed for long-term societal impact rather than temporary narratives. I also believe Cardano has one of the most thoughtful and values-driven communities in the entire blockchain space.
- How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?
As a Cardano Ambassador, DRep, and Nightforce Leader for Midnight in the DACH region, I focus primarily on education, community building, and ecosystem awareness. I create content that translates complex blockchain concepts into understandable language, help onboard new users into the ecosystem, and contribute to governance discussions through my role as a DRep. My goal is to build trust, encourage informed participation, and strengthen the connection between technology and real-world applications.
- What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?
I believe Cardano has the potential to become one of the foundational infrastructures for a more decentralized, transparent, and privacy-respecting digital society. My vision is an ecosystem that combines technological innovation with governance, education, and real-world utility — not just within finance, but also in areas such as identity, coordination, data ownership, and digital rights. Long term, I hope Cardano becomes an example of how decentralized technologies can empower individuals instead of controlling them.
- What is your personal message to the Cardano community?
The Future must be decentralized.
