Ambassador Stories, Journal #6 : Marin & Max.

Welcome to the sixth journal of our recently started “Ambassador Stories”! :star_struck:

Every week, you’ll be able to enjoy the various, unique stories of our Cardano Community Ambassadors: what motivated, and still motivates them, to be part of this amazing and wonderful community?

The Cardano Community Team would also like to thank the Ambassadors for all their continued efforts and participation in sharing their stories with us. :writing_hand:

Please read all about Marin Kramaric (@marin) & Max Desalle (@Cryptocreampuff) down below! :open_book:

Part 1: Marin Kramaric, Meetup Organizer

Marin has been part of the Cardano community since the beginning and has held several successful Meetups in his area. We’re looking forward to seeing more Meetups happening soon! Thanks for all that you do, Marin. We all greatly appreciate it.

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?

I am an entrepreneur for many years and for the last 10 years I worked as playground inspector and trainer. I worked on organisation of many training events and several international conferences. I always welcome new tech and creative ideas, so I’m also developing RealWorldGaming.org platform for managing real-life games.

For the last 4 years my primary role in life is being a father to a wonderful boy, so I may not have as much time for work, but I try to keep my work manageable and fun.

2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?

First time I heard about Bitcoin was some 5 years ago and I didn’t give it much attention (to my later regret). In 2017 crypto world got my full attention and I built my mining rig, had a lot of fun trading and losing small amounts (learning). As I got more and more information, I started to realise that this new tech can change the way this world functions now (for the better), so I decided to start another path in my business.

Recently, I am arranging a new cooperation with a Slovenian startup Elipay (new crypto payment gateway that is spreading in Slovenia and Croatia). Eventually I aim to get fully involved with crypto and blockchain projects, and also to get paid in crypto, and not just spend my money on it

3) Why Cardano?

I noticed Cardano project right from the mainnet launch in 2017. As my father’s name is Adam, it got my first interest. As I read more and more, watched countless of Charles’ videos, I recognised Cardano as the best and most promising crypto project. Today, I know much more about the whole industry, and my belief is stronger than ever.

4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?

As I am not writing any code (not that I couldn’t but that has never been my vision of me), I was looking how to get involved to actively give my share to this project, instead of just expecting it to rise in price. We will have our 4th Croatian meetup soon, I will work on getting our broader Cardano Ambassadors and community together at the Adria conference.

5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?

Cardano is already one of the greatest and I see a very bright future, but it will require more engagement in some areas of adoption. I see myself beyond just organising meetups and events. I feel things haven’t aligned completely yet, but we’ll see what is the most and best I can do with Cardano, and Cardano with me…

6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?

Be your best self! Work hard, stay strong, have fun and enjoy the ride up. Let’s make Cardano a legend!

Part 2: Max Desalle, Content Creator

Max has recently been accepted as a Cardano Ambassador, after successfully having written valuable content blogs about Cardano and appearing on TCCP as a co-host.
Despite his young age, he is very driven and determined to help grow the Cardano community with quality articles and content via his Medium blog. Keep it coming and thanks for your participation and support, Max!

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?

Well, I don’t have, what you could call a “background” yet. But what I can say is that I’m currently studying economics and modern languages.

2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?

The first time I heard about Bitcoin, was in early 2017. My teacher of economics was talking about stocks, and more precisely Apple, Google,… And then, he briefly, like thirty seconds, talked about Bitcoin. I knew Apple, I knew Google, I knew Amazon, but Bitcoin? Never heard of that. So that day I used my friend Google to learn more about it, and, the funny thing is that I remember searching for “Bitcoin company” because I really didn’t know what it was! That’s the day I started doing only that during my weekends, just learning about blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

3) Why Cardano?

If there was one reason why I have chosen Cardano, it’s certainly because of its adoption strategy in developing countries. While other “similar” platforms are desperately trying to be adopted in Western countries. Cardano is focused on improving the lives of the people who live in countries like Uganda, Ethiopia, Mongolia, and more… And there is a massive, really massive, potential in these countries in regards with blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?

I’m currently a host at the Cardano Community Podcast (TCCP) and, I’m also writing a research-driven publication called Gerolamo, which will see its first article this week, normally on Fridays! Besides that, I tweet regularly about Cardano and the vision I have for the future of this amazing project.

5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?

I see Cardano becoming one of the major “networks” in the world. I’m not a Cardano maximalist, but I think Cardano will become the most used platform in Africa, and in some countries outside Africa, like Mongolia or Georgia for example. These people will use Cardano for literally everything. Storing their money, paying their bills, playing games, listening to music, maybe even their shoes will be linked to the Cardano blockchain through Atala!

6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?

I think we are massively underestimating what Cardano is going to become in the future. It’s as simple as that. But I think this project could grow so big, that it wouldn’t be possible to overestimate what it’s going to become.
