Hello,
We have updated our Cardano articles for 2023!

Our [best Cardano wallet](https://www.cada.news/best-cardano-ada-wallets/) article now counts **19 wallets**.
The call for the developers to create light wallets last year was a full success. We believe Eternl team did the best job when it comes to development. Typhon wallet is amazing and a bit underrated among users 🙂 Congrats to Nami for the first wallet connect, and Gero for providing a wide range of user experiences, token, NFTs…

Since we believe in self-custody, the [Cardano staking](https://www.cada.news/cardano-staking/) article points to the usage of the Cardano wallets, and not the exchanges, which are not doing good for the decentralization of the network with their stake pools either.

In the [Cardano NFTs](https://www.cada.news/cardano-nfts/), we cover the main questions, like the difference between Cardano NFTs minted on the blockchain and Ethereum ones using the smart contract and the lower transaction fees. List of the most popular CNFT marketplaces, congrats to JPG.store for grabbing, we believe, 95% of the trading volume.

Since Cada.news was primarily built for Cardano a long time ago, we would like to give more exposure for free to the projects contributing to the Cardano ecosystem development as we did for our friends [TapTools](https://www.cada.news/taptools/), so feel free to contact us.

Big greetings to the Zyroxa gatekeeper of Cardano forum 🙂

Typhon Wallet is the best wallet for new people to Cardano, even blockchain. It just makes sense.

We decided to shorten the list a bit to make it less confusing for the newcomers. @gjlite we named Typhon the best Cardano browser extension wallet, but Nami as the best for beginners. I think the Ledger Nano X still provides the best value for the price (tell us your experience with the Stax), and the Trezor Model T the best one when it comes to security.

We have edited our list of the best Cardano wallets for 2025.
The **VESPR** team has truly outdone themselves with their **exceptional wallet development**. Their dedication has resulted in one of the best wallets for the Cardano ecosystem.
We find it slightly confusing for users that the **Eternl** wallet opens as a web wallet on its website. It would be more user-friendly if the front page also included clear links to the browser extensions and the mobile wallet versions for iOS and Android.

With the Cardano ecosystem becoming more feature-rich and active—especially after Hydra’s rollout—we’ve updated our internal notes on wallet usage and staking patterns. This year’s focus for many seems to be improved UX across both hot and cold wallets, along with better dApp integration.

As always, we encourage **self-custody** over centralized exchanges, both for security and to avoid contributing to stake pool centralization. While exchanges offer convenience, they often stake user ADA to their own pools, which doesn’t help network decentralization in the long run.

We took the time to revisit the current wallet landscape and have published two overview articles based on hands-on testing.

### General Wallets Trends

Wallets like **VESPR** and **Lace** have continued to evolve. VESPR is shaping up into a very clean mobile-first option, while Lace is progressing steadily under IOG. **Eternl** remains one of the most powerful browser wallets, especially when paired with Ledger for secure dApp interaction.

**Yoroi** and **NuFi** also remain relevant, each with unique strengths. Yoroi still serves as a lightweight option for those who want quick delegation access, and NuFi brings solid multi-chain support for users juggling ADA with other networks.

If you’re looking for a **comparison of light, mobile, and browser wallets** , we’ve compiled our findings in this **updated guide** on choosing the [best cardano wallet](https://www.cada.news/best-cardano-ada-wallets/) for you.

### Cold Storage Is Growing

One trend that stood out in 2025: more users are switching to **hardware wallets** — not just for long-term storage, but also for daily DeFi usage through wallets like Eternl or Typhon.

We noticed more activity around **Ledger Nano X** , but also growing attention toward **Ledger Flex** and **D’CENT** due to biometric features. Interestingly, **SecuX V20** still finds a niche among users who prefer the dedicated ADA portal with a clean interface.

We explored the most up-to-date cold storage options and compared UX, security, and connectivity in this guy to find out what is the [best hardware wallet for Cardano](https://www.cada.news/best-cardano-hardware-wallets/).

Big greetings to the Zyroxa!

We’ve decided in 2026 to put more focus on **supporting the Cardano ecosystem** and creating practical wallet guides for the community.

In our latest guide to the **[6 Best Cardano Wallets in 2026](https://www.cada.news/best-cardano-ada-wallets/)**, we’ve focused exclusively on **Cardano-native wallets** — meaning wallets built specifically for Cardano that fully support **ADA, native tokens, NFTs, and seamless dApp connectivity**.

If you’re mainly interested in earning rewards, we’ve also put together a separate guide on the **[best wallets for staking ADA](https://www.cada.news/best-cardano-staking-wallets-to-stake-ada/)**, where we walk through **step-by-step staking for each wallet** , making it easier to get started regardless of your experience level.

For users who prioritize security, we also covered hardware options in our guide to the **[best hardware wallets for Cardano](https://www.cada.news/best-cardano-hardware-wallets/)**, including devices like **Ledger, D’CENT, and SecuX** , along with how they integrate with Cardano wallets for long-term storage.

The idea behind all of these is to keep things **simple, self-custodial, and actually useful** , whether you’re just getting started or already active in the Cardano ecosystem.

Would be great to hear what wallets you’re currently using or if there’s anything you think we should include next 👍
