A Little More About the Cardano Ambassador Meetup Organizer Role:
We created the Meetup organizer role within our Cardano Ambassador program for the main purpose of helping Cardano community members form localized communities and allow members to meet and connect with each other. You are always welcome to hold your own cryptocurrency meetups and include Cardano in your agenda, however, the community team only gives credit for Cardano community meetups.
The most important contribution we expect from the meetup organizer is to hold regular events in their areas and encourage members to engage more with the project.
So what are the steps in becoming a Meetup Organizer?
- Read through the Cardano Meetup eBook and then contact the Cardano Community Team at email@example.com who will help you set up a local group on meetup.com.
- Host at least two Cardano community meetups , both with at least 10 attendees.
- Host a meetup at least every three months.
- Share a recap of the previously held Meetups with group photos to the Cardano Forum
Please provide valid URL links of the meetup group as a proof for your qualification when nominating yourself or someone who you think is qualified for the role. If you do not provide us with valid evidence of previous meetups that the community team can review, your nomination will be rejected. However, you can apply again once you finish assembling the proofs together.
A Little More About the Cardano Ambassador Moderator Role:
We created the Moderator role within our Cardano Ambassador program for the main purpose of finding those who can help keep our official online social channels informative, productive and pleasant places for the community to come together.
Each social channel has a slightly different set of rules and its important that all community members respect them, it’s part of the moderator’s role to insure rules are adhered to. Moderators also help to answers questions, share content and relay any important information back into the project internally.
So what are the steps in becoming a Moderator?
You must have a deep understanding of how a particular social media platform works and must be active daily.
The current moderators for a particular channel must agree that you are a suitable candidate.
The Cardano community team will review platform metrics, such as your Reddit karma score or Cardano Forum trust level, to ensure you are suitable to take on the responsibility.
When submitting nominations, please ensure that you are providing enough information and evidence on the nominee that qualifies them as moderators. We will be making improvements to the nomination form to request information like which time zone a member is located as this helps with providing adequate 24/7 cover. Please also note that some channels do not require resource but you may be contacted in the future when more moderation resource is required.
Finally we very much look forward to working more closely with all our moderators, helping to constantly improve the various official channels we all support.
A Little More About the Cardano Ambassador Content Creator Role:
We created the Content Creator role within our Cardano Ambassador program for the main purpose of helping to explain what the Cardano project is all about and also to provide deeper insight into the various different parts of the project.
Given Cardano is a vast and in some places highly technical project, it is very important that we have a community that supports both new and existing members in their education of the project. Content comes in many different forms, for example, videos, blog posts or long form forum posts. Having a wide variety of content ensures that all different learning preferences are catered for.
So what are the steps in becoming a Content Creator?
- Three pieces of content must be produced and published.
- Positive feedback from the community must be achieved. Submit evidence that your content is useful to the community and adds value, such as page views, likes, positive comments and shares. Trading related content is considered low value.
- At least one piece of content must be shared each month.
As noted in the revised criteria, we are looking for content that is useful and adds value to the Cardano community. This is why we have excluded trading and price-related content. In the nomination form, we ask that you provide evidence on this. For example, send in metrics of your website or positive comments and likes on your blog post to suggest that it has received positive feedback.
Finally we very much look forward to working more closely with all our content creator ambassadors in educating the world about Cardano.
A Little More About the Cardano Ambassador Translator Role:
We created the Translator role within our Cardano Ambassador program for the main purpose of helping grow awareness of the Cardano project in non-English speaking countries or communities.
At the same time, we still want to maintain consistency and quality of the translated material, which is why we ask anyone interested in becoming an Ambassador to share their content with us. Where there are capabilities, we will get one of your pieces proofread and get back to you with feedback, if necessary.
So what are the steps in becoming a Translator?
Publish translated Cardano content and send it into the Cardano community team.
At least 3,000 words must have been translated in total.
At least 1,000 words must have been translated in the past month.
Anyone is welcome to become a Translator or a Cardano Ambassador, so nominate yourself once you have translated content on Cardano. This can be in any form such as subtitles for project videos, blog posts, summaries, or anything else you think your local community would appreciate. Content can be posted and shared on any platform. This is because we are aware that different platforms are popular across different countries and cultures.
If you’re not sure on where to get started, have a read of this Forum post which has a short list of suggested content that can be translated.
Please also note that we are reviewing tools and applications that can help facilitate translations around the world. Do let us know if you have suggestions! Thanks!
