Based on an ad-hoc solution to protect existing ITN tickers in Mainnet against imitators, the idea was born to extend the metadata. The data published and updated by the pool can be used by different applications and tools for better identification, differentiation and communication
For the ITN verification in the rush of the Mainnet launch, we have already anticipated and proposed an extended field in the original metadata to take into account the size limitation, and also to achieve a clear separation between mandatory and optional (extended) information
But for the fields, formats and contents the proposal should go through and reach a consensus through a CIP process.
Therefore we hereby present an attempt to define the concept of extended metadata for pools that is referenced from the pool registration data stored on-chain.
