Daedalus Mainnet Version 3.0 Shelley Wallet Extraction - No Recovery Phrase (only spending password)

I have Daedalus 3.0 installed on my old Macbook with a Shelley wallet I need to gain access to. Here is my issue:

  1. Daedalus 3.0 is too old and the Cardano node will not sync - I can see the Shelley wallet I need access to in the wallet pane and the one transaction I made with it in the history. However, I cannot move my Ada because the balance and transaction history is only 43.76% synced with the blockchain. And it will not progress any further.

  2. I tragically lost my recovery phrase (however, I have my wallet’s spending password stored in my brain).

I reached out to IOHK support and they gave me a few methods to try that didn’t require any coding knowledge:

I updated Daedalus to the newest version 7.0.2 and moved my old Daedalus Mainnet “Chain” and “Wallet” folders from the old directory to the new one. Tried multiple variations of this method on my old Macbook, newer Mac mini and gaming PC, including deleting the entire “Chain” and “Immutable” folder and only copying over the Wallet folder. In all variations, I did not even see my Shelley wallet in the wallet pane within the new version of the app, even when the blockchain was 100% synced.

My suspicion is that the old wallet files from Daedalus 3.0 are not compatible with the new 7.0.2 version. Is there a workaround for this? I’m open to performing some code as long as the instructions are clear, as I do not have coding experience.
