Is a Daedulus or yoroi wallet really a must to fund my stake pool payment address or can send directly from coinbase

I downloaded the daedulus wallet to send my ADA balance from coinbase to daedulus. Plan was to move the ADA to my hot environment payment address ,from the wallet. However i was wondering if i can do it directly from coinbase and skip the daedulus installation altogether

if you have the payment address then you can send directly to that address… but you must be 100% sure and first time try a small amount
