Hello, I’m trying to vote at Gov.tools and I keep getting this error message when submitting my vote. “Not enough ADA leftover to include non-ADA assets in a change address” Anyone know why? I have 5 ADA freshly moved to that DRep wallet. My DRep status on Gov.tools looks good, but in Eternl it says I am inactive. Is that what is causing the error? I posted to Discord but haven’t received a response. Thanks
I guess I just needed more ADA because I added 10 more ADA and it works now.
Most probably not. The “inactive” status has nothing to do with doing transactions.
Not sure if gov.tools’ or Eternl’s interpretation is the correct one here, but it also doesn’t really matter: As soon as you are voting, you become active again automatically. It just matters if you do not vote and continue to be inactive. Then, inactive dReps count as Abstain, while active dReps count as No.
Eternl’s Discord? Couldn’t find the question there. Or the Intersect Discord?
Could be possible if it reserved the 5 ADA you sent earlier for collateral or something like that.
But good that it is working now.
Hey thanks for the response, HeptaSean. I saw you on the Eternl Discord. I didn’t post there, though. I posted in Intersect’s Discord. And you are right as usual. I was able to vote regardless of my inactive status in Eternl. The inactive warning in Eternl disappeared as soon as I voted. Anyway, thanks again for the quick help. You’re awesome!
Most likely because you have assets other than Ada in your wallet, I imagine
