When ADA is **held on Binance** , **you don’t control the keys** — Binance does.
That means:

1. **Voting Power** :

- **Binance can vote** in Cardano governance proposals using the ADA they hold — including _yours_.
- This **centralizes governance** , giving Binance (or other exchanges) disproportionate influence.

1. **Staking Power** :

- Binance usually delegates all users’ ADA to **their own staking pools**.
- This makes those pools **very large** , which hurts **decentralization**.
- Cardano works best when staking is **spread across many small pools**.
