Is it recommended to run VM Stakepool node and relays on the same host architecture

Hi Guys,

I’m new to Stake pools but not to networking/unix. I’ve got a good oversized server, which I’m just going to setup RAID on and I’m wondering if I install VM software whether you would agree that I could run my node and two relays as VMs?

From technical perspective I have no problem to run relay and BP on different VMs even on same server, but you need some kind of redundancy. Imagine that server will lose internet or power or your house get robbed or catch fire…

I would have 2nd server somewhere far away for redundancy.

you can do that, but it’s recommended to have at least one relay in another region
