Can you add my pool. In progress to setup. CardanoUSPool.com

Thank you.

It’s bad marketing practice to announce a website before it’s functional, anyone who clicks now gets a bad initial impression, others are likely to forget about it before the site comes online. I generally copy links from here to the wiki, but not those that don’t work.

There should be no rush to get into a staking pool right now. Even after Shelly is launched there will be time before it is fully activated.

I’m waiting to see the certified list of pools that will be reflcted by Cardano and inside the Daedalus wallet.

I value my ADA too much to leap w/o knowing for certain who is who and those whom the company will recognize.

For clarification is the 1% fee representing Generous taking 1% of 3.5% so that 2.5% is the balance split between participants?

OR, are you explaining that the management fee will be 1% of the 3.5% for a total mgt fee of .0035 fee. Please correct my numbers if configured incorrectly?

The 3.5% is a number used in a representation to understand the % the pools would be potentially earning, so it’s fictitious and arbitrary and used just to better understand your representations.

@Yeshuaschildren I believe 1% is the percentage of the total reward. If the reward for an epoch was 50,000 ADAs, they will receive 500 ADAs as owners of the pool and 49500 ADAs will be split between participants according to their stake.

Hi @Yeshuaschildren, to answer your question I simply have to say that @Chess is correct. The profit margin of 1% is taken from the total pool reward. Keep in mind that all pools will also take a certain amount in the costs parameter as well. The costs parameter is an amount that is set to cover the running cost of the pool. After costs and profit, the remainder is split between the participants.

At Generous Stake Pool we are going to keep both of these parameters minimal and return the overwhelming majority of rewards to the participants.

@AdamSabla We are MyAdaPool.com and committed to becoming one of 0% delegation fees Cardano staking pools. We are so happy if we get our name on your list. Could you please help us to list our staking pool?

Please add https://cardanohodl.com

Thanks!!

So true. If a website advertises a service and I go and nothing is there, its flagged, thought of as a scam, and NEVER visited again.

Hi @hankyBob , you’re right about that, but think of the domain as a way to promote your pool to a larger community. Unless you are planing to go solo, in which case there is no need of having one.

I think both ways are perfectly fine.
