New to this. Accidentally sent NFT to Byron wallet instead of my Shelley wallet. Am I correct in saying it is gone?
How do you know you have a Byron wallet? Even if it started out as a Byron wallet, it may have been converted to a Shelley wallet at some point. Eg if you are staking, you can only do that from a Shelley wallet (with Shelley addresses).
Also pretty sure its not possible to send an NFT to a Byron era address.
It’s not gone… if u have the byron wallet seed to recover
Hi Erik,
I have both a Byron and Shelley wallet on Yoroi. I sent the NFT to Byron mistakenly and when I try to send to Shelley from Byron I get an error message after confirming the transaction on ledger.
Same issue. Accidentally sent an NFT from Nami wallet to a Byron wallet on Yoroi. I know it’s Byron because the address starts with Ae2. Now Yoroi displays an error when you try to send the NFT out of that wallet.
Is there a way to move the NFT? I’m also just curious why this issue exists. My intuition is that the app might have restrictions but a public/private key should always be able to move an asset. Why is this an issue?
Thanks for any help!
This looks like a Yoroi issue. You will need to ask the Yoroi people for help.
