# Pool Retirement

I want to retire my stake pool, and recover my deposit. But the instructions here: [Retiring a Stake Pool - Stake pool course](https://cardano-foundation.gitbook.io/stake-pool-course/stake-pool-guide/stake-pool/retire_stakepool)

Are apparently out of date since the current software output does not match what the instructions said. Due to the sensitive nature of the operation I would like to know how can I get an accurate guide on how to retire my stake pool?

Coincashew or cntools?

looks like more coincashew… check this guide

after this operation wait untill u will receive 500 ADA as a reward then withdraw using

you could also use the stakepool operator scripts for that. the only thing you need are your cold keys, rename them into the right format. and a small wallet that will pay for the transaction fee.
