Greetings to the Cardano community,
It is with deep joy and heartfelt gratitude that I share my reflections on this past year, for 2025 has been a time of trials and triumphs, of hardship and hope, and of learning what it truly means to belong to a global family united by vision and purpose.
In Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, the year began under the shadow of conflict. Between January 27 and February 2, our city endured days of war that claimed lives and left destruction in its wake. For five long days we were cut off from the world, without electricity or internet, unable to continue our daily work within the Cardano ecosystem. Yet when the connection was restored, I found my phone overflowing with messages from across the globe โ friends, colleagues, and fellow builders in Cardano reaching out to ask about our safety. That moment revealed something profound: our presence matters, our absence is felt, and we are part of a living network of care and solidarity. It gave me strength to continue, to persevere, and to contribute with renewed conviction.
Throughout the year, I was blessed to take part in many initiatives. I served as a community reviewer and milestone reviewer in Project Catalyst, participated in the Intersect elections, welcomed new members through the Goma Cardano Hub, coordinated Haskell and Plutus training programs, organized meetups and hackathons, engaged with the Francophone Africa community, and contributed to my first decentralized application โ the Wenze Project, a local marketplace integrating smart contract escrow for ADA payments. These experiences not only expanded my knowledge in blockchain and web development, from Aiken to Plutus, Haskell, and React, but also reminded me that learning is most powerful when shared, and growth is most meaningful when it uplifts others.
I cannot recount this journey without expressing gratitude to those who inspired and supported me. To Charles Hoskinson, whose vision gave birth to Cardano; to the Catalyst team, who guide and empower us; to Daniel Riber, whose counsel has been invaluable; to Bernard Sibanda, who entrusted me with responsibilities that shaped my path; to WADA, for their contributions; and to my brothers in the Cardano community of Goma, especially Bandu Boaz and Martin Musagara, whose support carried me through the year. Each of you has been a pillar in my journey, and I honor your role in my story.
What I carry from 2025 is the realization that Cardano is not merely a blockchain, but a resilient and compassionate community, a family that transcends borders and circumstances, where each member has a place and a voice. Together we are building not only technology, but trust, collaboration, and hope for a better future.
Long live Cardano,
Long live our ecosystem,
Long live the spirit of solidarity that binds us.
I wish you all a peaceful end to 2025 and a new year of strength, wisdom, and shared success in 2026.
