In the stake pool course, there are contradicting statements. In [here](https://cardano-foundation.gitbook.io/stake-pool-course/stake-pool-guide/stake-key/generate-stake-keys-and-address#stake-address), it says

> This address **CAN’T** receive payments

but the [next page](https://cardano-foundation.gitbook.io/stake-pool-course/stake-pool-guide/stake-key/assignment-1) asks the students to send the funds (or payments) to the stake address.

> Create a transaction with only **one** input and **one** output sending all the funds to paymentwithstake.addr

I though stake addresses CAN’T receive funds (or payments)? Or maybe in Cardano sending a transaction is different from payments? Can someone clarify please?

paymentwithstake.addr (payment address - used for send/receive ADA) is different than stake.addr (stake address - usedfor receiving rewards only)
