Just a note, I found I missed the latest version of Cabal that is supported for 8.0.0.

  • GHC 8.10.7/Cabal 3.8.1.0

So you can update to Cabal 3.8.1.0 if you want when building. I haven’t tried with 3.8.1.0 to see if there are changes or improvements.
