What’s more important? the physical location of the servers or of the operators?
It’s good if pool servers are geographically spread, just so that for instance a power out that affects one city has little effect on network, but apart from that IMO location of neither server nor ops is of any importance.
So, if location has no importance, what is meant by network topology?
Sorry, I was thinking from the ordinary users perspective. For pools, connections with those relatively nearby are assumed to be better, in general terms. TBH I’m no expert, there might be other considerations, but I believe that’s it.
