According to the announcements, the current board members were elected/appointed by the previous board itself. Might seem strange, but is quite usual for foundations/trusts, where there are no owners to elect leadership.

Interestingly already included in the above record from 2021-10-06, don’t know why only announced a few months later.

None of them “appointed by the Swiss Government”, all just elected by the previous board.
Also: Not sure how relevant that is for the current hot topics since the board („Stiftungsrat“) has more of an oversight role.
