The term MEV stands for Miner Extractable Value. Block producers or other entities can make a profit through their ability to influence the order of transactions in a new block. Block producers have the right to include, exclude, or re-order transactions within the blocks and are economically incentivized to do so. MEV is one of Ethereum’s biggest problems, with over hundreds of millions of USD extracted from its users. We will explain the issue and discuss whether we can expect the same problem on Cardano.
