Hi - I’m in the process of setting up a stake pool according to Coin Cashew’s recommendations. They advise at least two relay nodes (one air-gapped machine).
My question is 1. How important is it to use an air-gapped machine? In the test net setup it said at least one relay node and didn’t mention air-gapping as a requirement.
I want to make sure my setup is secure, but I’m wondering if this is the sort of thing I can setup with 1 relay node now and add the air-gap relay node down the road? I just don’t have a machine for this right now so that is my blocker.
Thanks!
That answers that! Thank you! I will look into the best ways to set up the air-gapped machine before I proceed.
Per the end of the Back to Basics post, I somewhat fit the description of the non-technical aspiring SPO. I will read and drill down on the recommendations in that post and make security a priority.
Outside of my own diligence, is there a good way to safely audit my setup once complete? I want to make sure things are buttoned up whether it’s on my own or using a 3rd party.
Thanks!
I’m not qualified but I’m sure there are a number of people that can help you out.
I think there is a stake pool channel on Telegram. Just be careful who you talk to on Telegram.
Hmm, I found a nice program last days…
If u want can read about Rkhunter
