Cardano Night β Hanoi was hosted as an official side event of GM Vietnam β Vietnam Blockchain Week 2025, aiming to connect the Cardano Vietnam community with builders, innovators, and blockchain enthusiasts in Northern Vietnam and beyond.
The event drew over 490 registrants, with more than 100 in-person participants, including Web3 builders, startup founders, DReps, SPOs, Catalyst proposers, students, KOLs, and representatives from other blockchain ecosystems such as Ethereum, Polkadot, and Solana.
Organized by Cardano Ambassadors, this special meetup was made possible with the support of the Cardano Foundation (Ambassador Program β Impact Pot), Bitget, Minswap, the Cardano Vietnam Community, and Sky3 Team.
Main Topics
1. Introduction to the Cardano Ecosystem
Mr. Tien from the C2VN team, a long-standing community contributor, provided key updates on Cardano, covering:
- CIP-1694 and the emerging on-chain governance model
- The Catalyst funding program and how to propose startup ideas
- Notable dApps currently building on Cardano
Participants were especially interested in:
- How to participate in Catalyst and raise funds for early-stage projects
- The full lifecycle of proposals β from submission to evaluation and funding
- Opportunities for students, developers, and entrepreneurs in Vietnam
- How DReps support governance and community proposals

Minswap: CEO Long Nguyen shared the journey of building Minswap on Cardano β the challenges, the vision, and how Cardano enabled the team to grow one of the top DeFi platforms in the ecosystem.
3. Icebreakers, Minigames & Networking
Two interactive minigames created a fun atmosphere for participants to connect and win small rewards.
In between, teabreaks offered a relaxed setting for ecosystem-wide networking, where discussions spanned:
- Startup and fundraising strategies
- Cross-chain collaboration opportunities
- Technical exchange among developers
- Cardanoβs positioning in Vietnamβs growing Web3 landscape
Community Questions & Insights
Several engaging questions were raised during the open sessions, including:
- How can Vietnamese startups access Catalyst funding?
- What are the criteria for successful proposal approval?
- How do DReps support or reject governance proposals?
- What academic or student programs exist within Cardano?
- Why are there relatively fewer dApps on Cardano, and how is that changing?
