Recap: Blockchain4Future Unitour #1 — Bringing Cardano to AgriTech Education

Hub Network x Cardano Vietnam x NSC
December 20, 2025 | Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City

On December 20, 2025, Blockchain4Future Unitour #1 was successfully held at Nong Lam University (NLUHCM), co-hosted by Hub Network and Cardano Vietnam, with support from the broader Cardano ecosystem.

The event welcomed over 150 students from agriculture, technology, and economics-related majors, offering a practical introduction to how Cardano blockchain can enhance agricultural traceability, supply chain transparency, and product value in real-world contexts.

This session marked the first stop of the Blockchain4Future Unitour, aiming to connect emerging technologies with Vietnam’s agricultural and education sectors.

:small_blue_diamond: Key Highlights

  • Time: 08:00 – 11:30 | December 20, 2025
  • Venue: Cat Tuong Hall, Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City
  • Registration link: Blockchain4Future Unitour #1 - NLUHCM · Luma
  • Attendance: 150+ students
  • Audience: University students in Agriculture, Technology, Economics, and related fields
  • Theme: Transparency, traceability, and technology-driven value creation for Vietnamese agricultural products

1. Opening & Context Setting

The event opened with welcoming remarks from the organizing teams, setting the context for why blockchain matters beyond finance, especially in agriculture-heavy economies like Vietnam.

Speakers emphasized that challenges such as origin verification, data trust, and supply chain inefficiencies remain key barriers to scaling agricultural value — and that technology, when applied correctly, can address these gaps.

2. Keynote — How Blockchain Empowers Real-World AgriTech Startups

Speaker: Mr. Minh Bui – Cardano Vietnam

The keynote focused on how Cardano’s architecture enables practical AgriTech applications, particularly in traceability and data integrity.

Key points included:

  • Blockchain as an immutable data layer for agricultural records
  • The role of on-chain metadata and the eUTXO model in ensuring verifiable product histories
  • How decentralized systems reduce reliance on trust-based reporting

Mr. Minh Bui also introduced Palmyra, a Cardano-based platform designed to provide verifiable agricultural data, demonstrating how blockchain can move traceability from documentation to cryptographic proof.

The session helped students understand that blockchain is not an abstract concept, but a tool for real-world problem solving in agriculture and supply chains.

3. Panel Discussion — Technological Breakthroughs in Traceability: Future & Potential

Panelists:

  • Mr. Minh Bui – Cardano Vietnam
  • Mr. Vu Pham – Founder, EZAI

The panel explored how Blockchain and AI are reshaping agricultural traceability systems.

Discussion topics included:

  • The shift from manual, trust-based records to verifiable, on-chain proofs
  • How AI complements blockchain by analyzing and validating large data sets
  • The potential for Cardano-based solutions to support compliance, branding, and export readiness for Vietnamese agricultural products

The discussion highlighted that technology adoption is not about replacing farmers, but about empowering ecosystems with better data, transparency, and long-term trust.

4. Student Engagement, Minigames & Networking

The session concluded with interactive quizzes, minigames, and networking, encouraging students to actively engage with the content and speakers.

This segment helped bridge theory and practice, allowing students to:

  • Clarify technical concepts through discussion
  • Explore career paths in Blockchain, AI, and AgriTech
  • Connect with community members and organizers

For many participants, this was their first direct exposure to blockchain applications beyond cryptocurrencies.

5. Community Reflection & Acknowledgements

Blockchain4Future Unitour #1 concluded with strong energy and engagement from students, speakers, and community partners.

The event represented a meaningful first step for many young participants exploring the intersection of blockchain, AI, and agriculture, while reinforcing the importance of education-driven adoption.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Cardano Foundation, Project Catalyst, and the broader Cardano community for supporting initiatives that bring blockchain education into real-world sectors.

Special thanks to Hub Network, Cardano Vietnam, NSC, and all community partners for making this university outreach possible.

This is great. There are many initiatives in Cardano around agriculture and need to see synergies and coordinate it as an ecosystem
