University Meetup #4 was held on January 27, 2026, at HUTECH University (Saigon Campus), organized by Hub Network, Cardano Vietnam, and FMIB.
The session focused on how Blockchain and AI are reshaping digital commerce, particularly in marketing, customer experience, and trust-building in online business models. 1. Opening & Context Setting
The meetup opened with check-in and welcoming remarks from the organizing teams, setting the context for University Meetup #4 as part of a broader education initiative connecting students with real-world technology use cases.
Organizers highlighted a shift in perspective for students:
The key question today is no longer βWhat are Blockchain and AI?β but βHow can these technologies be applied β and how can students build relevant skills early?β
2. Keynote 1 β How Blockchain in Digital Commerce Builds Customer Trust
Speaker: Mr. Sang Nguyen β Blockchain Lecturer & Innovation Expert, Cardano Vietnam
The first keynote explored the role of Blockchain in building trust and transparency in digital commerce.
Key discussion points included:
- How blockchain functions as a verifiable, shared ledger
- Why transparency and immutability matter in digital transactions
- Use cases of blockchain in product authentication, traceability, and trust-building
- The role of decentralized systems in reducing reliance on single intermediaries
The session helped students understand blockchain as an infrastructure for trust, not just a financial technology.
3. Keynote 2 β AI in Media Marketing and Customer Experience
Speaker: Ms. Huynh Ho Ngoc Giao (Yao Huynh) β Creative Media Manager, Zimmon AI
The second keynote focused on how AI is transforming digital marketing and content creation.
Topics discussed included:
- AI-driven personalization in media and marketing campaigns
- How AI tools support faster content creation and optimization
- The impact of AI on customer experience and buying behavior
- Skill sets students should develop to stay relevant in AI-powered marketing environments
This session connected technology trends directly to career pathways in media and marketing.
4. Panel Discussion β Blockchain & AI in Digital Commerce: Trends, Skills, and Career Paths
The panel discussion brought together insights on:
- Emerging trends at the intersection of Blockchain, AI, and digital commerce
- Skills that students should prioritize for future careers
- How non-technical students can still participate in technology-driven industries
- The importance of adaptability and continuous learning
The discussion emphasized that technology literacy is becoming a baseline skill, regardless of studentsβ primary disciplines.
5. Q&A & Student Discussion Highlights
An open Q&A session allowed students to raise thoughtful and practical questions.
Q1 β Trust and Verification in Blockchain
Student:
βIf blockchain data is verified, who verifies it? And why should we trust that verification? If incorrect data is recorded at the beginning, doesnβt immutability become a weakness?β
Speaker Response:
In traditional systems, trust is placed in a central intermediary, such as an organization or individual. In blockchain systems, trust is shifted to software, cryptography, and distributed computers.
For example, when a transaction is submitted, the system automatically checks conditions such as account balances through predefined rules. If those conditions are not met, the transaction is rejected β without relying on a single human verifier.
Blockchain ensures that once data is recorded, it cannot be altered later, which prevents manipulation after the fact. However, it also highlights the importance of data integrity at the input stage.
Q2 β Fake Reviews and AI vs. Blockchain
Student:
βIn the future, can blockchain distinguish real reviews from fake reviews on platforms like Shopee or TikTok?β
Speaker Response:
Blockchain and AI serve different roles. Blockchain is designed to record and preserve data, while AI is used to analyze and evaluate data.
Identifying fake or low-quality reviews is primarily an AI task, based on patterns, behavior, and content analysis. Blockchain can ensure that once reviews are recorded, they are not modified or deleted, while AI helps assess their credibility.
These exchanges helped students better distinguish the complementary roles of Blockchain and AI in digital commerce systems.
6. Interactive Activities & Closing
The meetup concluded with mini-games, open discussion, and informal networking. Students had the opportunity to reflect on the sessions, ask follow-up questions, and connect with speakers and peers.
