MEETUP #1 for Builders Vietnam — Kick off: Cardano 101
The first meetup of the Cardano Builder Series for Builder Vietnam was held on 15 November 2025 at 90/5 Quoc Huong, District 2, HCMC, organized by Over Guild x Cardano Vietnam, with support from community media partners and contributors.

Actual attendance: 40+
Builder / newcomer ratio: 60% builders
Participant satisfaction: 70–80% (survey results)
Community takeaway: Strong interest from both new learners and emerging builders, validating the need for an ongoing Cardano builder-focused series in Vietnam.
Opening Remarks
The event opened with warm greetings from the organizing teams at Over Guild and Cardano Vietnam, welcoming participants from HCMC’s vibrant blockchain and developer community.
Mr. Nim – Founder of Over Guild – introduced the vision of the Cardano Builder Series:
To create a consistent, long-term learning space where developers, founders, and contributors in Vietnam can learn, engage, and grow together within the Cardano ecosystem.
This first meetup helped new participants explore Cardano’s core foundations — including its mission, roadmap, and the reasons why Cardano is a strong platform for real-world applications.
The team also introduced Project Catalyst Fund15, explaining the funding categories and how community voting empowers new ideas to thrive.
Our goal is simple: Give builders the tools, knowledge, and direction to start building on Cardano.
Keynote Session – “Why Cardano?”
Speaker: Nim Pham
The keynote opened the meetup with an engaging introduction to Cardano — its story, mission-driven approach, and the research-based architecture that sets it apart. Nim Pham highlighted Cardano’s core strengths such as:
- Security
- Scalability
- Sustainable governance
- A growing global ecosystem
Participants were also introduced to the Cardano Resource Hub at ada.antdle.xyz, a curated site that compiles essential documentation, tutorials, tools, and structured learning pathways for new builders.
Hands-on Activities for Builders
After the keynote, attendees joined a guided, step-by-step onboarding session designed to help new builders interact with the Cardano network for the first time. Activities included:
Tasks for Builders
- Create your first Cardano wallet (Lace or Nami)
- Receive testnet ADA via faucet
- Send your first on-chain transaction
- Explore the Blockfrost dashboard
- Download and set up development tools
To foster community bonding, the meetup featured a Networking + QR Hunt, where attendees scanned QR codes to join the Cardano Vietnam community group.
The session concluded with a fun Cardano Quiz, allowing participants to test their new knowledge. The top 4 scorers received small rewards.
Tea Break & Community Networking
During the 3-hour meetup, attendees enjoyed a relaxed tea break designed to create space for genuine conversations. Builders, newcomers, and community members gathered in small groups to discuss tools, project ideas, and opportunities within the Cardano ecosystem.
The break also served as a natural transition into deeper networking, helping participants connect with the organizing team and with each other.
Overall Atmosphere
The meetup atmosphere was warm, focused, and builder-friendly. The venue layout was intentionally designed to support both learning and interaction, featuring:
- Clean, minimal workshop setup with projector, tables, and builder zones
- Dedicated support corner for wallet creation and technical troubleshooting
- QR check-in and QR Hunt area for seamless community onboarding
- Merch table featuring Cardano-themed totebags
- Presentation zone for the keynote and demos
This combination of structured learning, hands-on activities, and an open, collaborative space helped create an environment where participants felt comfortable asking questions, experimenting with tools, and sharing ideas freely.
Community Reflection
According to attendees, the meetup provided much-needed clarity on how to start building on Cardano and created a welcoming space for meaningful connections. Many shared that the hands-on activities and open discussions gave them confidence to continue exploring tools, funding pathways, and future opportunities within the ecosystem.
