The name of the proposal I’m going to present to you today is Policy Paper, but I have to start with a little bit of housekeeping. This video is in English, but if you’d like to see it in Portuguese and Spanish, the link is in the description below.
This proposal has got a huge potential, not only for Brazil, but for other countries in Latin America. There would be involving 18 countries, and I believe it could be a game-changer. Please, also check the links for the other proposals, like the one “Cardano Builders featured on Brazilian TV.” Also, I’ll put the link in the description below.
So, the name of this proposal is “Cardano Policy Paper: Unlocking the Latam Path.” We say path, Latam path because it involves actually many countries as Latin America is huge. The author of this proposal is Daniela Alves. Daniela has been here in the community since 2021 and has got 17 years of experience working with government affairs and relationships.
We don’t have a policy paper in Brazil or for Latin America, and it is a document that’s very important for advocacy because the contact that we need to do with the government or institution needs to be in a professional way. It’s why Daniela wrote this proposal so we could have a stepping stone.
What’s the problem? Without this paper, it limits partnership with governments, makes institutional adoption harder, and may result in lost market opportunities to other players.
The proposal has got three levels’ strategy. In the first level, we have the main economies, for example, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina. And then we’ve got level two, their strategic markets, like Colombia, Chile, and Peru. And then we’ve got the third level, there will be complementary cases like Paraguay and Uruguay.
And it is a framework for advocacy, and it’s open-source, everybody can see, read, and then apply it in your own country because it’s not only Latin America that lacks papers or documents like that, I bet many other places in the world are behind.
The community has got a lot, lot of people from everywhere trying to contribute and to bring value to the community. And as we are here, we are in Latin America, we would love to contribute even more.
