Criticisms of Proof of Stake

I suppose that’s possible but unless said DAO mobilises militarily then there’s no hard power. The difficulty is not so much leaving your own country but rather finding another which will take you in (and also has the rules you want to live by).

Not required for change but my point is that a state can only have one sovereign. Everyone has to live in a physical jurisdiction, under a sovereign, with hard power, under regulation. Good point about about regulation of one sovereign on the regulation of another.

Good to see Charles talking about constitutions in his interview with Lex Fridman a few days ago.

It will be interesting to see how other resources could be brought in, as Charles has been discussing lately - “N Resources” as he puts it. In PoS and PoW the ‘P’ is of paramount concern. Those are both provable on-chain, you can’t fake them. Proving other things will get tricky. Oracles? Verified identity and representation? Anyway that’s a long way down the track and should certainly come after a solid governance mechanism is up and running.
