Buidler Fest #3 Coming to Argentina in March 2026
On January 2, 2026, the long, awaited Buidler Fest #3 was announced by TxPipe. The worldwide tour continues from its first run in Toulouse, France in April 2024, to the lively second edition in Da Nang, Vietnam in April 2025, and it is now arriving in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for a two-day tech extravaganza on March 24, 25, 2026, at the Wyndham Nordelta Hotel.
The non-profit event, organized by the TxPipe team, and Cardano Ambassadors Mauro Andreoli, and Lucas Macchiavelli, with support from Project Catalyst, will offer full meals, a dinner party, and even three nights of accommodation at the venue for the first 100 registrants who need it.
If you are out of the loop and didn’t attend the previous events, now is your chance attending workshops, rolling up your sleeves to build, exchanging ideas, and enjoying that legendary after-party energy. The value is known by the veterans already, it is where real connections turn into code-gold and lasting collabs.
If you are building on Cardano, note that the call for speakers is open until February 1, 2026, and a limited number of tickets are available, 400 ada for the early blind presale, or 500 ADA later. Registration’s. For more details, and to register click here.
Cardano Moves Into Execution Phase on Critical Integrations
In December 2025, the Cardano community voted on the Cardano Critical Integrations Budget (CCIB), a governance action aimed at funding essential infrastructure integration for the ecosystem. As highlighted by EMURGO in a recent X post, the Treasury Withdrawal requesting the 70 million ada has met the required DRep and CC approval thresholds at the epoch transition from 604 to 605, which leads to the funds flowing out of the treasury in the first slot of epoch 606 on 9 January 2026
Intersect MBO, as the designated budget administrator, will manage the funds, which will be used to support key integrations, including the two already announced integrations: Pyth Network and Dune, plus other critical infrastructure needed to strengthen Cardano’s ecosystem. The update points to a more coordinated phase of execution, with priorities aligned and funding in place across the Pentad, including IO Group, Cardano Foundation, EMURGO, Intersect MBO, and the Midnight Foundation.
EMURGO also acknowledged the role of the Constitutional Committee members, DReps, and SPOs in moving this process forward, framing the outcome as a step toward a more execution-focused year ahead.
For the full context and details, see EMURGO’s original X post here.
Strica Launches The Python SDK for Cardanoscan APIs
According to a recent release, the team behind the Cardano blockchain explorer Cardanoscan, Team Strica, has launched the Cardanoscan Python SDK. As outlined in the announcement, the SDK is designed to make it straightforward for developers to access Cardano blockchain data using Python, with built-in support for both synchronous and asynchronous workflows.
It provides clean, lightweight API wrappers that return raw JSON responses, making it flexible for a wide range of use cases such as analytics, backend services, monitoring tools, and integrations. The SDK also supports query parameters, clear error handling, and a developer-friendly interface, helping Python developers build on Cardano data with ease and reliability. For more details on the Python SDK for the Cardanoscan API visit:SDK: https://github.com/StricaHQ/cardanoscan-pythonAPI Doc - https://docs.cardanoscan.io
Cardanians: Weekly Ecosystem Updates
This week’s Cardanians ecosystem newsletter, released on January 5, shares a range of updates from across the Cardano ecosystem. The points below reflect just a few highlights from their weekly X thread. According to Cardanians, Snek has outlined its plans for the year, including centralized exchange listings, a brand refresh, revenue generation through strategic token buybacks, and further expansion of the SnekFun and SnekBot products.
The newsletter also notes progress on Ouroboros Leios, with Input Output Group reporting the protocol at roughly 67% completion, launches across Hydra, Midnight, and Midgard, and even early discussion around Cardano ETFs. For this and more, view here the X thread.
Spotlight on Cardano Content Creators
This week, we’re once again highlighting a few Cardano content creators who continue to add depth and context to ongoing ecosystem discussions. Through deep dives, interviews, and long-form analysis, these creators help surface questions, perspectives, and developments that matter to the community.
**Peter Bui (Learn Cardano)**In this episode, Peter discusses how important decentralisation is for blockchain networks, particularly focusing on the challenges faced by Solana and the advantages of Cardano. He highlights the declining number of validators on Solana, the high costs of running nodes, and the resilience that a decentralised network can offer against attacks, provided there is a large network of validators, making it much harder for anyone to perform a denial-of-service attack. Powered by CardanoPowered by Cardano has recently added the ‘Cardano Project Index’ page to their website, including one-minute interview videos with ecosystem builders, each briefly explaining who they are, what they’re developing, and why. According to founder Alfred: “The index page is developed to become a Facebook-like platform for projects and personalities. There we’re not only putting faces to the projects, but can also link directly to the builders’ page in the event you would like to connect with them further.” View here the Cardano Project Index page.
These creators represent just a small snapshot of the many voices contributing to Cardano’s broader conversation. Following their work is a great way to stay informed, explore different perspectives, and better understand where the ecosystem is heading.
Updates from the Cardano Foundation
The Cardano Foundation published its Q4 2025 Report on December 30th, outlining consistent advancements in adoption, technology, and governance. According to the report, the quarter focused on putting the Foundation’s global adoption roadmap into practice and further positioning Cardano as a dependable public digital infrastructure.
As highlighted in the report, Cardano Summit 2025 in Berlin stands out as one of the major moments of the quarter. The event brought together over 1,000 in-person attendees from more than 70 countries and reached over 25,000 online viewers worldwide. The report also points to strengthened enterprise engagement through international alliances, expanded education via Cardano Academy courses, and continued investment for supporting builders through hackathons and the Cardano Accelerator Program.
From a technical perspective, the report notes that Cardano demonstrated its resilience during a rare network incident. On the governance front, Q4 marked a significant milestone, with the report marking Cardano’s transition to fully decentralized, on-chain decision-making - something also worth noting. For more insights, including the foundation’s outlook to 2026, read here the full report.
