PRAGMA: Amaru Demos and Upcoming Node Workshop in Toulouse
Pragma recently shared a new demo of Amaru, their alternative Cardano node, highlighting progress on simulation, observability, and ledger conformance testing.
The demo showcases updates to the ledger rules and introduces a Rust-agnostic testing approach for better conformance. It also features early visualizations of the simulation engine, including auto-generated sequence diagrams and a terminal interface for exploring execution traces.
Pragma also demonstrated how Amaru’s observability stack collects and visualizes data from multiple nodes, offering insights into network behavior and performance. Watch the demos here: pragma.io/projects/amaru/#demo
Looking ahead, Pragma is inviting the community to its next Cardano node diversity workshop on September 22–23 in Toulouse, open to all node implementers. More info: hackmd.io/zYPLaKpSS4WTzjTpVINIvw
IOG: Project Acropolis - Making Cardano More Developer-Friendly
On July 3rd, 2025, IOG introduced Project Acropolis, a big step towards making Cardano more open and developer-friendly.
Acropolis reimagines the Cardano node as a flexible, modular system where developers can build directly inside the node using familiar tools like REST APIs.
The goal is to lower barriers, keep security rock-solid, and make it easier for new ideas to take shape. According to the blog, teams like Blockfrost and Sundae Labs are already showing interest, which is a great sign of the community’s excitement for what’s ahead.
