For example - Tell me how this describes how a community will react towards say a lottery based reward distribution as opposed to a members collect reward distribution. The page you quote appears to be discussing encouraging long term reward rational thinking compared with short term reward thinking. Not more. Not less.

Of course it’s not about community reaction. If a scheme is designed according to game theoretic and similar considerations, and community reaction is negative, then the correct procedure is to educate the community, not to change the scheme.

Or if it’s actually just a small subset of the community, then ignore it. Some things are more important.

For a company so into a rigerous and scientific approach this seems naive. Why when rigorusly making formal math formulas you will instead retroactively try to fix any errors instead of getting it right the first time. And why this patrenalizing tought that the community must be educated if the community would ask for a better approach. This is hypotethical discussions as I am quite sure Cardano will sucseed and have invested in its sucsess. But this attitude worries me greatly if it is commonplace.

Well I live and breath scientific method as it is part of who I am and how I approach things. Lets look at your model and statement on reality. You say:

A model of game theory is great for looking at the course between game players in a logic way on a specific behavior. But why not use tools from other scientific domains (Like psychology, like market research etc) to make sure also the public perception of a given reward scheme is something the community thinks is good.
I believe the more aspects of a problem you are trying to model you look at the better your model of that will be. To only look at a problem from a single aspect is more likely to make your model a bad fit of reality.

I said “if community reaction is negative”. You pretend that means “if Cardano does not get it right”. I will not waste my time arguing with people who use such tactics. Try googling “intellectual dishonesty”, you might learn something.

If the community reaction is negative to what you are doing you are not getting it right the first time. You are building a product for a community and if they react negative to it and you could have avoided that then you are not doing everything you can to get it right the first time. That is not intellectual dishonesty nor twisting of words. That is looking at what is the actual situation. In any case I would rather focus on the PoS rewards as this is what the thread is about. Hopefully we will soon have more information. And I predict we both share in wanting Cardano to be a success and both look forward to that update on PoS.
