Fraudulent CopyCat NFT Websites

I entered a copycat NFT website [Link removed by @Zyroxa] by accident to mint an NFT as I had a free minting token in my wallet. When I connected my wallet and authorised the “Mint” my account was drained of funds and an NFT. I imagine this user has set this up for various NFT collections so be careful and follow links from the proper discord.

There are a lot of those scam tokens for pretty exactly a year now targeting NFT projects, project tokens, memecoins, stake pool delegators, …:

Some wallet apps already try to protect their users by marking those tokens or warning when connecting to dubious sites, but that can also never be a guarantee if you encounter a new one of these.

Hello @ryan_cain and thank you for this. I’ll like to add this link as a resource to others who might see this post to further protect themselves from scams: How to prevent Token phishing by SCAM Reward Tokens?

Please stay safe and protect your wallets
