Only 8 operators might be controlling 88% of the network

Honestly, I do not think that this is a temporary problem. People act in an egoistic way. They just delegate to the pool with the highest expected returns. And based on the min fixed cost the bigger pools are providing better returns. I beliefe that >70% of delegators will also act like this in the future. Only a few ones inform themselfes and think about what is better for decentralization or which pool maybe has some mission.

Quite irretional beheviour. But just like in the Casino
But actually this feels to me like being the small little hope for an SPO to win the lottery and be seen by a broader audience. Actually not good that this luck influence is the far bigger aspect compared to running a proper setup (secured, available, performant)

Yes, this is what I exactly said with some corrections like: "They would delegate to the pool with the highest expected returns if they would know which they are.

Meaning they need some months to years to educate themselves. And I would say that yours >70% is too optimistic I would say around >95%
