Hello everyone,
Prof. Aggelos Kiayias, The chief scientist at IOG was thrilled to talk to you about their latest work on scaling the Ouroboros protocol, which powers the Cardano blockchain. Now, I know this might seem a bit complex, but He simplified it for you.
Ouroboros is like the engine of Cardano, using proof of stake to ensure decentralization without the energy drain of Bitcoin. But it has a bottleneck: it can only handle so many transactions at once.
The research is all about fixing that bottleneck. They’ve come up with a way to release batches of transactions into the network before they’re added to the main chain, freeing up space for more transactions. They’ve also developed Mithril certificates to make sure these transactions are legit before they’re added.
The best part? By separating transaction processing from main chain validation, Cardano is faster and more efficient while staying decentralized.
In short, The research is paving the way for a faster, more efficient Cardano blockchain without compromising security or decentralization. It’s a big leap forward in blockchain technology,
Thanks for watching, and stay tuned for more updates on Cardano’s progress.
