I tried this setup before with just one node on both a preview and preprod pool but i keep getting missed/ghosted. So i tried the correct way of setting up two nodes with one BP and one relay and that fixes the missed/ghosted and Total Tx 0 issues.
If your BP is connecting to your Relay (and it should), then it is clear that the 1 connection is your BP.
It looks like you can really use just one node as a BP node so i’ll take back what I said earlier. I just realize that peers cannot connect to my home node unless i configured the port forwarding/setting on my router. So I did it and node seems to be running well.
Here’s my preview node just minted and confirmed a block. There’s no relay just one node.
note: For the mainnet, you should always have at least one relay for security reason.
