Can’t establish ssh connection to my servers from the outside. Why can that be?

Hello,

I would be very grateful for any advice.

I can’t establish ssh connection from outside of my LAN it seems like. I am wondering what can be the issue. Do I have to port forward tcp the random ssh port I have chosen, on my LAN router to my local servers.

If that is the case, is that secure?

What else can it be ?

Best regards,

Hello,

Yes you have to forward the port to your server if you want to connect to it from outside of your LAN

you can use Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router to check make sure the port is open as well.
