Cardano Welcomed with Open Arms
Our education efforts to bring Cardano to UNU (learn more here) was surprisingly met with opened arms. It was beyond our expectations for the Faculty Team to ask to have an official MoU signing ceremony. Especially due to UNU having extensive regional and international contacts such as; @sinarmas_land (one of the largest property development in Indonesia), @AdaroEnergyTbk (one of the largest energy company in Indonesia), @Huawei (one of the largest mobile producers from China), @TelkomIndonesia (state-owned telecom company), @indosat (one of the the largest private telecom company in Indonesia), @LaLiga and etc.
In future posts we will explain how a barely 2 year old university were able to have donors and partners from vast number of key industry players. Interestingly enough, as an acknowledgement of the contribution of these industries, each company’s name were accredited to various spaces throughout the campus. Perhaps Cardano Foundation would also seek to be a part of this.
This collaboration though was only made possible due to ADA price influx, where we stretched Catalyst funds and our KPI’s. Together with @gimbalabs, @andamio_teamsandamio_teams, @devweb3jogja we conducted in total a 3-month duration workshop culminating in a hackathon utilizing our partners platform, @HackQuest_.
The Beginning of Our 3-Month Program
The modest ceremony was directly followed by our 1st session that happened later that day where we also introduced Cardano Foundations’ program Cardano Academy. Though we understand English is still a blocking factor for ease of adoption, one of the reason of our bespoke approach with UNU.
Cardano in Indonesia is not well known or let alone mastered. Solidity still grips Indonesia very strongly. One of the key to mimic’s Solidity success can be achieved through time and the right approach. Hence mentorship with an incentive, was the right solution and was proven correct.
A testament towards the full support given by the university can be viewed from these following articles;
