Over the past weeks, the Catalyst Africa Town Hall successfully hosted four (4) IdeaFest sessions for Fund 15, bringing together proposers from across the Cardano ecosystem to share, discuss, and refine their ideas.
These sessions attracted a diverse range of builders, educators, innovators, and community leaders. The quality of proposals and depth of discussions truly reflected the growing maturity of the Cardano community. Across all sessions, we witnessed mind-blowing pitches, practical use cases, and bold visions that—if funded—could significantly shape the future of Cardano.
What the IdeaFest Achieved
The IdeaFest was designed to:
- Give proposers a platform to present their ideas to the community
- Enable early feedback from voters and ecosystem participants
- Encourage collaboration and cross-community learning
- Increase visibility for Fund 15 proposals, especially from Africa and other emerging regions
Each proposer was given time to present a high-level overview of their proposal, followed by a Q&A session that sparked meaningful conversations and constructive feedback.
Recorded Sessions Now Available
To ensure wider community access and transparency, all four IdeaFest sessions were recorded and uploaded to YouTube. This allows community members who could not attend live to watch the pitches, understand the proposals, and engage more thoughtfully in the Fund 15 process.

Each session features multiple proposals covering areas such as governance, education, infrastructure, sustainability, developer tooling, media, and real-world adoption.
Why This Matters for Fund 15
The IdeaFest is more than just a pitching event—it is a critical part of community alignment within Project Catalyst. By watching these sessions, voters gain deeper insight into:
- The intent and vision behind proposals
- The teams and communities driving them
- The potential impact each proposal could have on the Cardano ecosystem
We strongly encourage community members, especially Fund 15 voters, to watch the recordings, share feedback, and continue engaging with proposers as the funding round progresses.
Closing Thoughts
The success of these four IdeaFest sessions reaffirms the importance of community-driven spaces within Cardano. The Catalyst Africa Town Hall remains committed to supporting proposers, amplifying impactful ideas, and strengthening governance participation across regions.
Thank you to all proposers, attendees, and contributors who made the Fund 15 IdeaFest a success.
