Day 1 kicked off with a bang! Charles Hoskinson addressed the Nairobi delegation with a pre-recorded video, delivering a powerful message that left folks buzzing. His words set the tone for a transformative week, emphasizing that this is a defining moment for Cardano.
Charles and Dr. Silvia Nonna, Vice Dean of the School of Law at Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), then gave riveting, live keynotes.
Rules, Roles, and Ready for Action
Before tackling the core of the agenda, both delegations went through the rules of engagement. This set the stage for collaboration and transparency.
Deep Dive into the Updated Draft Constitution
The bulk of the day was spent reviewing and refining the draft constitution’s articles. Delegates and their alternates meticulously examined yesterday’s edits made to the articles. Only delegates could vote on whether to accept the edits or propose further changes.
Each article sparked thoughtful debates, reflecting the diverse perspectives within the Cardano ecosystem. These discussions underscored the importance of striking a balance between principles, practicality, and inclusivity.
