Cexplorer Blog: Can Cardano Achieve the Same TPS as Solana?
Cexplorer’s recent blog looks at whether Cardano can reach the same transactions per second (TPS) as Solana. According to the blog, Charles Hoskinson has said that Cardano can compete with Solana in TPS while staying decentralized.
As per the author, Ouroboros Leios is designed to improve Cardano’s scalability by allowing parallel transaction processing and more frequent block production. Instead of copying Solana’s method, Cardano will use Input, Endorsement, and Ranking Blocks to increase throughput.
According to early tests mentioned in the blog, Cardano could handle between 10,000 and 18,000 TPS. To learn more about how this might work, read the full blog here.
Lily Brodi: Cardano Wins of the Week
In her latest “Cardano Wins of the Week,” Lilly covers several wins from the Cardano ecosystem. For example, Grayscale’s $2 billion ADA acquisition, a move that, according to Lilly, could encourage more interest from big institutions. Alex Becker, who used to criticize Cardano, is now bullish on its future potential. IAGON announced delegated staking for IAG holders, so you can earn rewards without running a node. These are just a few, but for the full overview, we recommend checking out the entire X video post here.
Cardanians Weekly Ecosystem Newsletter
In this week’s Cardano Ecosystem Newsletter, Cardanians cover Coinbase’s upcoming launch of ada futures on March 31, 2025, Swiss bank AMINA introducing Cardano staking for its clients, and Dubai’s Emirates NBD offering ada crypto trading. The partnership with Check Point Software to protect against smart contract vulnerabilities and phishing attacks is also highlighted. For more updates, view the full thread here.
Ada Pulse Blog: A Deepdive into Reeve - Ledger on the Blockchain
On March 11th, 2025, Ada Pulse shared a blog post about Reeve, also known as Ledger on the Blockchain (LOB). Reeve is a platform built by the Cardano Foundation to boost financial transparency and trust. It uses the Cardano blockchain to securely record financial data, making it tamper-proof, verifiable, and open for everyone to see. According to the blog, Reeve is designed for businesses, nonprofits, and governments, helping them share financial records in a secure way, cutting down on audit costs and improving accountability. For more details, check out the blog here.
Keyanm’s X-post: Cardano Contract Splitting with Aiken and AnastasiaLabs Design Patterns
In this X post, @keyanmskt (keyanm) discusses splitting Cardano contracts. According to Keyamn this not only helps with larger contracts, but it can also lower transaction fees. He shares how to achieve this using Aiken with Anastasia Labs’ design patterns. As he puts it, “It’s a contract that allows anyone to mint a unique NFT, lock it at the script’s address, and tag it with the owner’s pub key hash, so that the NFT can be later burnt with permission.”
A Spotlight on Stake Pools: EU01
In this “Spotlight on Stake Pools,” meet Lauris, operator of StakePool24/7 [EU01]. The blog covers Lauris’ long history in Cardano, from his early days running a testnet pool to supporting other SPOs through YouTube videos and a Telegram support channel.
According to Lauris, his mission goes beyond running a pool. He’s very much focused on building tools and sharing knowledge to help strengthen the SPO community. The blog also highlights how Lauris contributed to Cardano governance as a member of SPOCRA and Catalyst Circle, and how the Foundation’s delegation enabled him to maintain essential community services like cSnapshot.io.
To read more about Lauris’ journey, his work for the Cardano ecosystem, and the impact of Foundation delegation, check out the full blog.
IOG Blog: A New Programmable Token Design on Cardano
IOG’s new blog highlights freeze-and-seize, a key feature for applications meeting regulatory requirements, especially in highly regulated industries like finance. This mechanism allows institutions to safeguard assets from malicious actors—a feature now proven on Cardano. The blog showcases how Input Output, alongside Philip DiSarro from Anastasia Labs, built a proof-of-concept (POC) for a regulated stablecoin, the Wyoming Stable Token (WST). This POC demonstrates Cardano’s control over token issuance, transfers, and payments for compliance-focused applications. For more details, read the full blog here.
USDA Stablecoin Now Live on Cardano
On March 7th, 2025, EMURGO announced the launch of the long-awaited USDA, the fully reserved stablecoin for Cardano issued by Anzens. As announced, USDA is now tradable on Minswap DEX, but Minswap is not the only platform, as USDA is also live on Liqwid Finance. According to EMURGO’s blog, over 300,000 ADA has already been traded since launch.
If you want to learn more, Farid from DappCentral has covered the USDA launch and provided an overview of Cardano’s stablecoin ecosystem. Kaizen Crypto’s Cardano 101 Course | Lesson 33 also takes a closer look at stablecoins on Cardano, including USDA.
