  • Governance Beliefs:

  • First, I encourage everyone to become a DRep for themselves. Even if you are delegating to me as a DRep, I would love it if you start acting as a DRep for yourself. Amassing voting power is NOT one of my goals.

  • I am in Cardano to help make the original Cardano vision a reality. The vision was for ordinary people around the world to collaboratively build and run a governable and resilient global protocol of value. This decentralized network is supposed serve as a viable and more accessible alternative to the existing financial systems for individuals around the globe. Cardano offers a unique interplay of macroeconomics and finance, governance and individual empowerment, financial inclusivity and radical change.

  • Motivation: I have lived through times of splendor and stability. I have lived in a war zone and poverty for a decade. I understand how this technology can provide an alternative for individuals who are being cornered in the modern day and age. It can be a tremendous force for good. Iā€™m participating in DRep governance for the big picture and for the ideals. I understand that people can be here short-term and for the money. Yet, that is not my motivation. If we build a parallel system, we decentralize a key component of the world. Finance.

  • I have an enormous respect for everyone who is building Cardano and taking a risk by investing resources in any form.

  • My aim is to provide a completely independent and balanced voice to the debate and decision-making. We need decentralization and independent points of view. I strive to be one of them.

  • Financial disclosure: I am not (and was never) financially affiliated with any Cardano dev teams or projects, nor with the Cardano founding entities (IOG, Emurgo or Cardano Foundation). I never worked with a Cardano developer team nor have I worked for a founding entity. I do not have a conflict of interest in that sense.

  • I have received compensation from Project Catalyst for my work as a Community Reviewer (levels 1 and 2 since Fund 2) and as a Milestone Reviewer since Fund 10. I have received staking rewards for staking my ADA and voter rewards for voting in Project Catalyst. I was briefly an unpaid member of Optim DAO in part of 2024 (I was invited to help with a multi-sig) and I have refused compensation in any form for that role. I voluntarily left Optim DAO in late 2024, as Optim has matured and I wish to avoid having any conflicts of interest with my role as a DRep. I am an ADA holder with the interests of the wider Cardano ecosystem and all our current and future users at heart - and I wish to maintain my objectivity.

  • Qualifications: I have been in the Cardano ecosystem since 2017. I have read thousands of Catalyst proposals since Fund 2. I have accepted and rejected hundreds of milestones from Catalyst funded teams as a Milestone Reviewer. I have insight into what is happening, the good, the bad and the beautiful. Yes, it is a global view that may be thin in some parts, but still an all encompassing picture. Cardano is a global project and a global perspective is also needed in governance, as is technical proficiency and knowledge of detail. I have completed the Cardano Blockchain Certified Associate (CBCA) course.
