Interview - Cardano DeFi #015: DexHunter

Original Placement:

Today’s guest on the Cardano DeFi column is the biggest DEX aggregator that on average processes more than half of Cardano DeFi volume: DexHunter.

The previous guest was a project with the goal of revolutionizing finance on Cardano with their innovative Decentralized Profit Sharing Finance Hub.

This column is where I invite Decentralized Finance (DeFi) projects to introduce themselves and share their vision, allowing me to connect with and learn about the Cardano Ecosystem.

Hey, glad to have you here. Please introduce your team, where are you from, what are your backgrounds?

Our team has been building on Cadano for three years. Previously, we worked at jpg.store, one of the biggest Cardano dApps. That allowed us to familiarize ourselves with the underlying tech and gain deep insights into the community, traders, and their needs.

We have also contributed to the Cardano ecosystem with open-source tools like the Cardano Golang serialization library and multiple technological advancements.

What is DexHunter and how do you differ from the many other DeFi protocols out there?

DexHunter is the biggest Cardano DEX aggregator. On average, we process more than half of Cardano DeFi volume through our dApp. Our core focus is user experience, and we have spent an incredible amount of effort making trading comfortable for any kind of trader, whether a newbie or a seasonal pro.

We have also been integrated into major dApps like TapTools, NMKR, Butane, and almost all the Cardano wallets, such as Vespr and Eternal, and many other projects.

Tell us about the $HUNT token. What role does it play in the ecosystem? And how can people earn it?

Due to our DAO system, the HUNT token is an index of Cardano DeFi. The more volume the ecosystem generates, the more DexHunter trades there are, and the more fees are used to buy back HUNT, causing automated buying pressure.

HUNT is also used for secondary utilities such as unlocking premium features on the platform, getting faster nodes for transfers and trading, and, ultimately, fee discounts.

At the moment, the only way to acquire HUNT tokens is to purchase them on the open market; of course, the best place to do so is on DexHunter itself.

What does the future hold? Where do you envision DexHunter in the coming years?

Our goal for DexHunter is to be a de facto trading platform on Cardano. Whenever someone wants to buy or sell a token, they will know where to go. We want trading to be fun, fast, and easy for users.

However, just as important, we aim to advance Cardano and allow its integration into major cross-chain wallets and platforms on which we are working behind the scenes.

With more DEXes building on Cardano like Genius Yield, Axo, and Splash and multiple existing DEX contract upgrades, we’ll be busy aggregating all the tremendous new trading tech being built.

Amazing. Any closing thoughts? Where can people follow DexHunter?

We are endlessly grateful to the Cardano community, which supported DexHunter and uses it daily. We want to continue bringing people the products they enjoy and use.

To follow our progress and just chat, the best place is our Discord.

We are also very active on Twitter.
