Hello Cardano community,
As a Cardano Ambassador based in Nigeria, I’m excited to share that I have created an X account dedicated to the Cardano Nigeria community.
The goal is to create a central space where the Nigerian Cardano community can:
-
Share Cardano-related updates, opportunities, and events in Nigeria.
-
Highlight the work of Nigerian contributors and projects within the ecosystem
-
Educate and onboard more Nigerians into Cardano
-
Connect community members with opportunities to learn, build, and contribute
-
Amplify Cardano activities happening across Nigeria and the ecosystem at large.
-
Create more visibility for the Nigerian Cardano community globally.
This is intended to be a community-focused platform, looking forward to working alongside existing Cardano communities, projects, and initiatives in Nigeria.
I’m also looking forward to collaborating with other Nigerian Cardano contributors, developers, educators, creators, and community builders so we can coordinate our efforts.
If you’re part of the Cardano community in Nigeria, I’d love for you to connect with the account and share ideas on how we can make it useful for everyone.
Let’s keep building, educating, connecting, and growing together.
Thank you!

This is a great initiative, and I really appreciate the intention behind creating a dedicated space for the Nigerian Cardano community.
One thought that came to mind: I noticed there are already a few X accounts using the Cardano Nigeria identity, including @Cardano_Nigeria, which already has an established audience.
Perhaps it could be worth connecting with the people behind these existing accounts and having a conversation about how the different efforts could complement each other. It may be that the existing community could support the new initiative, or that the different teams could agree on one coordinated presence going forward.
I think this could help avoid having multiple accounts representing Cardano Nigeria in parallel, while preserving the work, audience and recognition that have already been built.
In a decentralized ecosystem, coordination can sometimes be just as valuable as creation.
Just sharing the thought from a community perspective,!!!
Wishing you all the best with the initiative dear @Ayomishuga !!

Thanks for pointing this out. Before creating the new Cardano Nigeria X account, I actually did some research and found several existing accounts using the Cardano Nigeria name.
However, most of the accounts I came across didn’t appear to be very active, and I also didn’t know who was behind them. Since I wanted to avoid duplicating efforts, I made two public posts reaching out to the owners/creators and expressing my interest in working together and building one stronger presence for the Nigerian Cardano community.
Unfortunately, I didn’t receive any response, so I decided to create a new account as an initiative I could take on as a Cardano Ambassador.
That said, I’m still very open to collaborating with the existing account owners. My intention isn’t to compete with or replace anyone, but to help create a more coordinated and active Cardano Nigeria presence. If the owners of the existing accounts are willing to connect, I’d be happy to explore how we can work together.
Thanks for the clarification @Ayomishuga … It’s good that you noticed the inactivity around some of these accounts and that you’ve already tried reaching out.
Perhaps you could also connect directly with other Cardano Ambassadors or ecosystem members based in Nigeria. They may be able to help connect the different efforts and find a more coordinated way forward.
Wishing you all the best with the initiative!
