On 27th April 2025, I hosted an online event, fundamental knowledge of Cardano and available opportunities. The session commenced at 3:30PM and occurred on Zoom. There was a maximum of 8 participants.

Hosted by Benjamin Baani under the drive of Know Cardano Town Hall (KCTH), the event brought together Cardano members who learned about the basics of the Cardano blockchain and in brief learnt of some available opportunities. This online session was intended to provide a strong foundational knowledge to newbies in order to get themselves prepared to work within Cardano ecosystem.

TOPICS COVERED
Below is a highlight of the topics covered

  1. Cardano Blockchain: an understanding of what Cardano is.
  2. Strengths of Cardano: In terms of its scalability and energy efficiency.
  3. Cardano’s Ouroboros Proof-of-Stake: What it is and how it works.
  4. Analogy to further understand Cardano blockchain:
    i) Think of Cardano as an institution having units working within it.
    ii) Each unit is working for the interest of the larger institution.
    iii) The units work separately focusing on the institution’s goals.
    iv). In the long-run, the outputs of the units grow the institution.
  5. Founding Entities of Cardano: Exposed participants to the three (3) founding entities that established Cardano, IOG, CF and Emurgo.
  6. Development Phases of Cardano: The five (5) eras Cardano has passed through.
  7. Some opportunities in Cardano: A brief highlight on some available opportunities for community members.

ENDING NOTE:
The town hall came to an end and participants expressed excitement on the opportunities that Cardano has available for all persons from diverse backgrounds.
