Cardano Blockchain Expo 2025, was held on 27th March 2025 at the Center for Technology Education and Innovation Lab in Nalerigu, Ghana at 4PM, and brought together Cardano and general blockchain enthusiasts.
Hosted by Benjamin Baani under the drive of Know Cardano Town Hall (KCTH), the event brought together professionals/experts from four main fields namely, Health, Information Technology, Education and Real Estate and Land Management who learnt and deepened their knowledge of Cardano and blockchain in general.
The event had two main sessions:
First Part was led by Benjamin Baani providing a detail lecture on the topics below;
- Introduction to Blockchain Technology: The definition of the technology.
- Blockchain Key Concepts: Explored the various blockchain concepts like decentralization, distributed ledger, immutability, cryptography etc.
- How Blockchain Works: Beginning with how transactions are grouped into blocks.
- Blockchain Applications: How blockchain is/can be used in some industries/fields like cryptocurrency, voting systems, health, smart contracts etc.
- Cardano Blockchain: What Cardano is including its definition, research based approach and founder.
- Cardano’s Proof-of-Stake Mechanism: What it is and how it works.
- Founding Entities of Cardano: The three main entities that came together to establish Cardano protocol, IOHK, Cardano Foundation and Emurgo.
- Development phases/eras of Cardano: The five eras Cardano has passed through up till now were explained, Byron, Shelly, Goguen, Basho and Voltaire eras.
- Opportunities in Cardano: Exploring job opportunities and other opportunities within the Cardano Ecosystem.
Second Part brought in a Workshop and presentation session where participants were divided into three (3) groups. Each group consisted of participants from the same profession or field who worked together to explore blockchain intervention within their profession with reference to Cardano being a “Strong and Robust” blockchain. They were expected to discuss how atleast any two of the below blockchain concepts could be applied to their daily practices and activities in their work place;
- Immutability
•2) Cryptography
•3) Security
•4) Scalabilty
•5) Distributed Ledger
After their discussions, each group selected a member who presented their ideas and findings.
This wasn’t just any event, but an event that tapped the experience of professionals on how Cardano Blockchain can be leveraged or applied in practices and activities relating to their various fields.

ENDING NOTE
Cardano Blockchain Expo 2025 was a success energizing the enthusiasm of participants to explore more about Cardano and blockchain in general. Participants were nicely received and refreshed, with snacks and packaged dinner.
Cardano Blockchain Expo has come to stay, and with this just ended meetup being the first edition. I call on the Cardano Community to support the reoccurrence of Cardano Blockchain Expo every year.
