On 27th July 2025, I hosted an online meetup, car Project Catalyst Fund 14. The session commenced at 3:30PM and occurred on Zoom. We recorded a maximum of nine (9) participants for this session
Hosted by Benjamin Baani under the drive of Know Cardano Town Hall (KCTH), the event brought together Cardano enthusiasts, to get updated on Fund 14 of Project Catalyst. This online session was intended to introduce participants especially newbies to Community Review role in Project Catalyst (by popular request) and a little highlight on other Catalyst roles like proposing and voting.
WHAT WAS LOOKED AT:
We looked at the Community Reviewer role;
Levels of Community Reviewers: Level zero (L0), Level one (L1), and Level two (L2). Milestone Reviewers as additional level of reviewers.
L0s and L1s: They assess proposals submitted by the community based on impact, feasibility/capability and value for money. This is to ensure that Catalyst funds are directed towards impactful projects. L0 Community Reviewers are all new reviewers and less experienced reviewers whereas LV1 Reviewers have already performed a substantial number of reviews.
L2s: L2 Reviewers (Community Moderators) perform a Community “Moderator” function to check any reviews flagged by the Catalyst scripts. Community Moderators will also perform a random spot check on a small percentage of reviews submitted by LV0 and LV1 reviewers.
Milestone Reviewers: Within the Catalyst ecosystem, milestone reviewers play a crucial role in ensuring projects that were selected for funding by the Cardano community (“Grantees”) remain accountable throughout the project delivery lifecycle. They assess Statement of Milestones (SoM) and Proof of Achievement (PoA).
The town hall session came to an end around 4:10PM.
