1. Opening Remarks
The meetup opened with remarks from Mr. Hai Nguyen, a representative of Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
He highlighted the evolving landscape for university students and the growing importance of digital entrepreneurship and emerging technologies such as blockchain.
He also emphasized the potential role of Cardano in empowering young builders to transform innovative ideas into scalable Web3 products and startups.
2. Keynote: From Web2 to Web3 – Elevate Your Product, Conquer the Hackathon
Mr. Sang Nguyen, Blockchain Lecturer & Innovation Expert at Cardano Vietnam, delivered the main session on transitioning products from Web2 to Web3.
The session explored:
-
Understanding the differences between Web2 and Web3 product models
-
Identifying opportunities to bring blockchain into existing products
-
Transitioning traditional Web2 models toward decentralized architectures
-
Exploring how Cardano infrastructure can support real-world applications
-
Strengthening product ideas and preparing projects for Hackathons
Rather than adopting blockchain simply as a technology trend, participants were encouraged to identify where decentralization and Cardano could provide meaningful value to their products and users.
3. 1-on-1 Mentorship & Case Study Workshop
A key part of University Meetup #3 was the hands-on mentorship and case study session.
Web2 and Web3 teams had the opportunity to discuss their projects directly with the Cardano Vietnam expert and receive practical feedback based on their individual challenges.
The mentoring sessions focused on:
-
Identifying technical and product bottlenecks
-
Exploring suitable Cardano integration opportunities
-
Improving Web3 product models
-
Refining project positioning and pitch strategies
-
Preparing teams for upcoming Hackathons
This interactive format allowed participants to move beyond theoretical discussions and apply Web3 concepts directly to their own ideas and products.
Community Impact
Cardano University Meetup #3 helped bridge the gap between traditional Web2 development and practical Web3 adoption for students and young builders.
By combining technical frameworks, real-world case studies, and direct mentorship, the meetup provided participants with clearer roadmaps for integrating Cardano into their projects and developing more market-ready solutions.
The meetup also created an opportunity for young builders to connect with the Cardano ecosystem and explore how their existing skills and products could evolve within Web3.
Closing & Appreciation
We sincerely thank all students, builders, speakers, mentors, and community members who contributed to Cardano University Meetup #3.
Special thanks to Nguyen Tat Thanh University and HUB Network for collaborating with Cardano Vietnam to create another practical learning opportunity for the next generation of Web3 builders in Vietnam.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cardano Foundation and Project Catalyst for their continued support of education, community initiatives, and ecosystem development. Their support helps local communities like Vietnam create more opportunities for students and young builders to learn, experiment, and contribute to the Cardano ecosystem.
We look forward to seeing more ideas from these young builders evolve from Web2 to Web3 — and from early concepts into real-world Cardano solutions.
