Network parameters increasing

Looks like an effort to increase transaction throughput in preparation of increased activity from dApps. The most notable change is the increased block size from 64KB to 72KB.

Although the increase from 64KB to 72KB is small, at what point will it affect stake pool operators and the hardware requirements for running a stake pool?

The change will become effective with epoch 306 on Dec, 1st. The effect will be there immediately. However, it’s not a given, that blocks will become larger than 64K from then on. It depends on load and transactions.

Furthermore I expect node version 1.32.0 to go live before or just after the change. It’s supposed to mitigate some of the higher performance requirements coming from the parameters change.
