My Story – From SPO to Building PayADA
My journey with Cardano started early — back in 2019, during the testnet era.
Like many in the early community, I wasn’t just watching from the sidelines. I became a Stake Pool Operator, running Dutchpool (NLD) when Cardano staking was still new and the ecosystem was just beginning to grow.
Being an SPO wasn’t just about running infrastructure. It was about supporting decentralization, helping the network grow, and contributing to the community that believed in the long-term vision of Cardano.
Supporting the SPO Community
During those early years, I saw something clearly:
Many stake pool operators were passionate builders, but they lacked tools, visibility, and support.
So I created StakePoolArena — a platform designed to help stake pool operators get exposure and recognition.
The goal was simple:
Give smaller SPOs a place where they could be discovered and supported.
Even though the project didn’t grow the way I originally hoped, the intention behind it remained the same:
Build something that helps the Cardano ecosystem.
And sometimes in building, the lessons you learn are even more valuable than the outcome.
From Infrastructure to Real Adoption
Over time, another thought kept coming back:
Cardano had incredible technology…
but real-world payments were still missing.
People were asking simple questions:
“Why can’t I just pay with ADA?”
That’s where the idea for PayADA.IO started.
Not another speculative project.
Not another token.
Just a practical tool that allows businesses to accept ADA and Cardano Native Tokens as payments.
Building Without Funding
One thing that makes this story different:
PayADA wasn’t built with large grants or funding from organizations.
It was built the way many early Cardano projects were built:
by builders who simply believed in the ecosystem.
Late nights coding.
Testing transactions.
Fixing problems.
Improving features.
Step by step.
The Vision
The goal is simple:
Make it easy for merchants, communities, and creators to accept payments on Cardano.
With tools like:
- Payment Links
- POS Terminals
- Shop Generators
- Access Links for communities
- Discord integrations
- Merchant dashboards
- CNT and stablecoin payments
All designed to make Cardano usable in the real world.
Still Building
This story isn’t about a finished success.
It’s about continuing to build.
From running a stake pool…
to creating tools for SPOs…
to building infrastructure for payments.
The mission has always been the same:
Help the Cardano ecosystem grow.
And the journey is far from over.
